Places to visit
Two favorite places of mine for long walks by the rivers in the area are listed below. Both places you can find somewhere to eat and drink nearby together narrowboat cruises for a great day out.

Take a look at John Harris's "Walking in Essex" website which includes more than 50 FREE Essex walks to download, details of all the books, maps and walking groups in the county.
If you like gardens, you might wish to pay RHS Hyde Hall a visit. Beautiful gardens complete with somewhere to have a meal or coffee. There are regular events throughout the year for children and adults.
